Shopify app development

Shopify apps, built to ship.

I build public and custom Shopify apps from the first line to App Store submission. Embedded admin UI, OAuth, billing, and the GraphQL work, done properly.

Embedded, not bolted on

Your app lives inside the Shopify admin with App Bridge and Polaris, so it looks and behaves like the rest of the merchant's tools.

OAuth and billing sorted

Install flow, session tokens, and the Billing API wired up on day one. Merchants can install and subscribe without you chasing edge cases later.

Live in weeks, fixed price

You get the number and the date before I start. It only moves if you change what the app does, and the code is yours the whole way.

How I build a Shopify app.

I work against the Admin GraphQL API for orders, products, and inventory, and the Storefront API when the app touches the buyer side. Webhooks keep your data in sync, and the whole thing runs on infrastructure you own.

  • Embedded admin UI in Polaris and App Bridge
  • Webhooks, GDPR endpoints, and rate limit handling
  • App Store listing prep, so review does not surprise you

The stack

TypeScript, Next.js or Remix, Node, and PostgreSQL. Standard Shopify tooling, easy to hand to another dev.

Shopify APIs

Admin and Storefront GraphQL, webhooks, metafields, and Functions when the logic belongs at the platform level.

Billing

The Shopify Billing API for recurring and usage charges, or Stripe when the app sells outside the platform.

Handover

Your Partner account, your repo, your keys. If I stepped away tomorrow, nothing about the app would be locked to me.

What I usually build.

Pick the closest fit, or we scope the exact app on a call.

Public app

An app for the Shopify App Store, with OAuth, billing, and a Polaris admin, ready for review.

Custom app

A private app for one store or a small group, installed by link, no App Store round trip.

Admin extension

Actions and blocks that show up right inside the admin where merchants already work.

Tell me the app.

Fifteen minutes on a call and I come back with a scope, a price, and a date. Worst case, you leave with a clearer build plan.
